She’s ready for an update. It’s currently loosely themed – mostly vintage looking stuff, 1930’s ish. Kitty is pretty darn agreeable to anything! I love Carl Larsson’s art and his home…I may try something like that, mixing in various northern European folk motifs (C.L. was a Swedish painter in the late 1800’s – his family home is a landmark). Or I may do the modern retro bit, keeping her light pink walls and mixing in some browns, coral and moss green. I’d like a bird motif – John calls Kitty his little “sweetie bird” and I have a book named “Catherine Called Birdie” which is a scream. The first option is more expensive and time-consuming – I think I’d want wainscoting – and I’d love to paint motifs directly on the walls. The second would be easier and faster, though I imagine we’d tire of it sooner.

It would be so much easier if I just liked Dora or the Princesses, no? LOL! (Both of my parents are artists..I come by this madness naturally).
