Oh Jerry if you ask real nice, I may make you a badge holder like I made for a whole bunch last July when I went to lace camp. I’ll bet Linda in NM will tell you how she loves hers. I won’t be going this February, but can get it to you before hand.

What a wonderful day here. I don’t know where the big scary storm went but it missed us. The class was wonderful and everyone loved learning a new stitch.

I am so happy there is someone prodding on Jerry and MJH. Now, anyone up to getting me going? Have tons of ideas just not doing them right now. Betty used to keep me on my toes, but she has been slacking. Maybe she is just a little busy right now.

Lexie, I have wild animals too. Well, actually only three deer, and they have been picking on my rose bushes. I would be scared to death if I saw a kangeroo in my yard. Never mind I have elephants One is named Tusk.

I do want to report I was very good and did not buy any of the wonderful fabric. I know where it is and I will go back

REALLY????!!!! Oh mapakettle I would LOVE that. I just know I saw a pattern for a badge holder and downloaded it from somewhere, but I have spent the better part of two days searching in every folder on my computer for it. I guess I dreamed it. What a love you are!! Thank you!!

Marcia, I’m stumped on the jacket. I can’t quite decide how I want to do it. Have you divulged the fabric source yet?

Jerry

Lexie, I can just see your mango tree with all little brown paper bags tied on and they are ripped open by marauding bands of birds. Not sure if it quite looked like that but the vision certainly brought a smile to my face. Thanks. DH has the bug I had and is feeling just awful. Hopefully it will pass soon. The sticky buns were good but I prefer my King Arthur recipe better. This was a really highly rated recipe from Food TV but the KA buns have a nice dough. As DH says, I shouldn’t have messed with a good thing. Well, I thought these might be betterQDid a little smocking tonite and sewed on my bag too, but then just got too tired to continue. Time to call it a day.

Oh wow, you are some busy ladies today. It has been dreary all day today. Finished up an outfit this morning for DGD for her birthday party. Let me tell you, ughhhhhhhhhh! The top was a Tee from Old Navy with an appliqued C and her name over it. No problem, finished it last week. Decided that I would use the Bloomers and Britches pattern for her pants. She wears a 4 in RTW as well as the Lettie pattern, so I cut out a 4. DDIL decides she wants a ruffle on the bottom, cut them off a tad and add the 3 inch ruffle. Finished the pants, ruffles and all, and put them on her and they swallowed her It is 10:30 this morning, party at 2:30 Decided I would take some fullness out by taking in the front and back seams [as there are no other except inner leg.] Took in 1 inch. Take them down to her house [thank goodness only lives 3 minutes away] Still too full By now it is 12. Go back home put in a side seam, 1 inch on both sides [no side seam in the pattern.] Take them back and they still are full right in the front She loves them, gotta love that baby, and pitches a fit to wear them anyway. The pants are a good cut, and I had cut out another pair. So I went back and recut down to a 2, but left the length the same. Hope this works. I have added a picture. About those gift cards.I know during Christmas it is really easy for clerks to make mistakes. But, let me tell you about the scam that was going on at one of our local chain stores. There were 3 employees, all early 20’s, that worked the registers. My SIL bought a $100 gift card for her cousins daughter for a wedding gift. Bride goes to use it and they say that it has no value. Call my SIL and she has saved receipt and they look it up to show that another gift card was sold for that value. What happened – the clerks were ringing up a gift card, then telling the customer that the card wasn’t scanning. Customer picks a new card and clerk pretends to scan it. Customer leaves with what they believe to be valuable gift card, clerk pockets the real card. These 3 kids accumulated over $5,000 in less than a month. Working in their favor was that the cards might not be redeemed quickly giving them time to quit before they got caught or so they thought. One of the young men was a college sophomore, attending on a full academic scholarship. Lost his scholarship as well as being expelled from the college. None of the 3 were given time to be served, but all were given 7 years probation and ordered to stay away from jobs where they would be handling money, as well as restitution to the company. So, I learned that after buying a card, I can take it to the service desk and have them scan it to make sure that the money is there. Really not a bad idea to do, especially if you are sending the card out of town.I am sure Julia is up to her neck in boxes. Hope you survive the move, Julia. I know you will so enjoy your new home.

Betty –

Rett- I’m sure that you are really not THAT nurse! are you?
Guess I have been carrying on way too long. I have to go back to school on Monday Won’t be so bad once I get there, it’s just getting into the work routine again.

Good night, Ladies!!!

Chloe is so cute and I love her outfit. I used a size 2 for ML and she is wearing a 3T in RTW. I had taken her measurements when I was there Thanksgiving so was hoping they would fit. I still haven’t sewn any by the Lettie pattern but it looks like it would be bigger than the B&B one.

Oh my goodness, is she a DOLL!! I just love her smile & her pretty hair……very pretty in PINK.

Sorry to hear you had to re-do those pants so many times but they were worth it. I did the same thing with a nightgown pattern for Miss C. That thing is STILL too big on her!!! (and I took it in at least twice!) *sigh*
