Everything Sewing :: View topic – Raggedy Ann Costume for Halloween

I haven’t gotten the pantaloons done yet, but of the three pieces, they will by far be the easiest to put together!! My daughter found this vintage McCalls pattern for the Ann and Andy costumes copyrighted in 1965. I must say using this pattern was a dream. I now see why new sewists have so much trouble with patterns. If pattern instruction sheets were this detailed still, anybody could learn to sew with some basic guidance and practice. I know we have discussed that before, so I will just leave it at that.

I have done the calico dress and the apron. Now all that will be left to do when I get home from the move is the pantaloons. I think I can whip them up quickly early next week. Then it will be the search for the red/white 1/4″ striped knit for the tights….maybe there will be a source online for tights nearer Halloween.
