Everything Sewing :: View topic – Pant’s that fit

The goal is clothes with individual styling plus fit.So how do we get pants that fit?
Selecting pattern size: To determine the correct size, first take and record measurments. The chart NPP has provided for us to use is perfect to use for this. Found here http://www.everythingsewing.net/measurementchart.htm Select trousers according to the waist measurment. If measurments fall between two sizes, buy the larger size for huskey build and the smaller size for for a slender build. The very best way to get a size that fits,is to take the measurments from a pair of well fitting pants. If you don’t have a well fitting pair, take measurments of the waist-hips-inseam and outer seam. Compare these with the patterns. Adjustments of up to 2″,in the waist or hip circumference can usually be made at the center back seam. If you re-style the leg,be careful to make adjustments on both inseam and outer seam,so the crease line position will not be changed. I like Kwik-Sew patterns, they always seem to have a good fit,and the multi-size pattern makes it easy to use two adjust the size while you are tracing the pattern. Nonie_________________
