We have covered preparing the thread, so I will skip right to the smocking. We are going to smock our first square. I say first because this square uses the mirror image. that is the most used stitch. The next square we will do will be the alternating stitch. For now, lets get started. Taking your first stitch come up between pleats 1 and 2, go back through 1 and take your first stitch. Now cable acroos the row, I did 15 cables starting with a down cable. End with a down cable. When you take your last stitch go over the last two pleats and go straight to the back.
