Starched fabric with several light applications. Then made marks using several different pencils using a very light stroke. Soaked the fabric in plain water and this is what I found. The ultimate pencil remained the most visible, followed by a sullivan’s tracing pencil, a clover pencil, bic mechanical and finally a regular school pencil. Used rubbing alcohol next- still that ultimate pencil will not come out – UNLESS I scrubbed it- but I cannot scrub my embroidery. I want all that pencil out as the marks dull the embroidery if they remain. What do you find to work best for you-I used fine line water soluble markers-but the lines bleed and they are not as accurate for stitching._________________
