To prepare your design, trace it on tracing paper, I ran a copy of mine on the copy machine. Place where the dsign will go on your garment, by tracing over your design with an iron on pencil, you will need to trace on the back side, so I hold mine up to a window and trace. Place the design on your garment and press, that will give you the outline and placement. To create a crisp edge, use a fusible web on your applique pieces, Now, trace the design on your pieces of applique fabric. If you have seperate pieces such as a stem for a pumpkin, cut that seperate and add to the end of the stem that will be covered by the pumpkin. Trace off any eyes that will be added to the face of your pumpin. Now, you have all your pieces, iron your heat-n bond or wonder under to the wrong side, of your applique fabric.Place a piece of stabilizer under the area(on the wrong side) that will hold the applique. Using a press cloth, press the pieces down on the outline on your garment. Remember stem first, then pumpkin. If you have any pieces that join, that are the same color, cut those as a whole, then you will define the area with your stitches. Now, using the color for your stem applique that on first. then applique the rest of your pumpkin. Go back and do any of the design work, such as lines on the pumpkin or shading on the stem. Now back the fabric you will be using for eyes and mouth and nose, ect. with you heatn bond, cut those out and iron down. Using matching thread stitch those th the pumpkin._________________
