Mouse - How To

| Supplies For Door Mouse: 1/2 yd fabric for body,arms and feet--I 9x12" piece of felt for bottom--14" square of fabric for hat--6x22" for apron--pieces of lace and ribbon--stuffing 1 bag--weight(rock)for bottom--2 eyes-1 pom-pom for nose--chenille stem/quilting thread for whiskers. |

Step One: Lay pattern on fabric, the mouse body is made using a half circle, you can cut this on the fold using 1/4 of the circle. Also cut out 8 pieces for the arms and legs using the body fabric. |

Step Two: Sew/serge mouse body at the back center opening, turn right side out and press seam. Sew the hands and feet pieces, wrong side together, clip corners, turn right side out and press. |

Step Three: Stuff all pieces in the bottom of the mouse, put in a weight (rock), sew on circle of felt. |

Step Four: Stuff and sew open seam of arms and legs,then sew to body.

Step Five: Sew lace around edge of bonnet circle, then sew again in gathering stitches. Pull up cicle forming hat, stuff hat tightly. |

Step Six: Sew apron cut a piece of fabric 6x22" gather the long edge, sew ribbon to one gathered edge.kaing the ends long enough to use as a tie. Decorate your apron any way you wish. You can make seasonal aprons so Miss Mouse can change for the seasons. |

Step Seven: To make her face, you will want to mark a place for her eyes. Using button thread or quilting thread, pull thread through, pulling tight to make an indent for the eyes. You can sew or glue eyes in place. Sew pom-pom on tip of nose. Use your choice for whiskers. You can use chenille stem or if you want long whiskers pull through some quilting thread and leave long tails. |
