1. Make a buttonhole in the casing allowance for pants with elastic before turning under.

2. Stitch the casing down. I like a small heading for elastic, I think it keeps it from twisting etc.

3. Thread elastic through the buttonhole, finish as usual. The buttonhole makes it easy to change elastic without opening any seams etc. It also marks the pants "back".
